The Tuki Tuki Valley luxury campsite is located on a small boutique vineyard, within a short walk of the Tuki Tuki river and just 15 minutes drive from Havelock North in the spectacular Hawke's Bay region.
A stay at Tuki Tuki Valley gives you the best of both worlds... You'll feel immersed in the peace of the countryside, while just being a few minutes from some of the Hawkes Bay's best vineyards, cafes and of course the charming township of Havelock North itself.
The campsite is ideal for a couple or family looking for a break in the country. And, there's no need to leave your furry family member at home - dogs are welcome to come glamping at Tuki Tuki Valley too.
The site consists of one large, safari style luxury tent overlooking a small dam. The camp kitchen and bathroom are housed in a rustic shed, with a covered outdoor eating area. An open-air fire pit with comfortable seating, creates a great space to relax after a busy day exploring the region.
Campers can park right up at the campsite, so it's easy to pop out and visit the local vineyards, beaches or local 'Horseshoe Bend' swimming hole for a refreshing dip in the Tuki Tuki river. The Tuki Tuki river is also well known as a premium trout fishing destination - so if you're a keen fisherman, bring your rod!
Get out and about during the day, then completely relax. Wile away the hours with some outdoor games - Giant Jenga, horseshoe tossing or petanque area all provided at the campsite. Or just soak up the sunsets, the countryside and the campfire marshmallows - and enjoy a holiday to remember.

Fossickers Hut is situated near small, historic, gold-mining town, Canvastown, on the main route to Nelson from either Picton or Blenhiem. An old coal range in the lean-to kitchen, and outdoor, fire-heated bath, add to the historic vibe.
Kissing Gate, Nelson
Kissing Gate is nestled on a 7 acre farmlet, set amongst a glade beside a pond, surrounded by peaceful countryside. Based in the beautiful Mapua district, its just 30 minutes from the centre of Nelson and 16 minutes to Motueka. The campsite is made up of two vintage caravans, Ruby and Pearl, and a settlers' cottage style bathroom and kitchen.
Honeywell Hut, Motueka
Honeywell Hut is just 50 minutes from popular Motueka, and just over 1 hour from Nelson. Set on a large and dramatic sheep and beef farm, Honeywell Hut has all the style of a back country musterer's hut. The one room hut has been loving restored over the years by owners, Fiona and Richard, with a ton of creative, rustic charm.
Camp Kekerengu, Kaikoura Coast
Camp Kekerengu is set on the majestic Kaikoura Coast, sheep and beef farm, Ngaio Downs. The Hexagon, West Coast

With the luxury campsite a 15 min walk down to a beautiful secluded beach, glamping at Lavericks Bay in the Banks Peninsula is something pretty special. Enjoy long, warm days swimming and playing in the soft sand on the safe beach. Bring your bikes and explore the farm tracks or take your kayak out for an afternoon... all followed up by a hearty camp cook-up at the end of the day.

A 10% deposit is charged during the booking process. The deposit is non-refundable, however it can be transferred to another booking made within a 12 month period, if your stay is cancelled more than 3 weeks prior to your arrival.
Rates and Extras
Tuki Tuki Valley has a standard minimum booking period of two nights, but does allow one night stays from 1 May to 30 September. The minimum booking period for long weekends such as Labour Weekend, Anniversary Weekend etc is 3 nights. The minimum booking period for Easter is 4 nights.
Peak (1 November to 30 April):
Our standard nightly rate for summer is $240 for two people.
Extra people (up to two in bunk beds) are $15 per child or $50 per adult, per night.
Off-Peak (1 May to 31 October):
Our standard nightly rate for winter is $200 for two people.
Extra people (up to two in bunk beds) are $15 per child or $50 per adult, per night.

HOW TO BOOK AND PAY
The quickest way to check availability and book is by using our online booking calendar. This is always up-to-date. Find the date that suits you, then click Book Now. You'll be taken through the booking process in a few easy steps.
During the booking process, you’ll be asked to pay a 10% non-refundable deposit to secure your booking. Once you've completed the booking process and deposit payment, you'll receive a confirmation email. This explains how to pay the remainder of your balance, which is due 4 weeks prior to your arrival date. If you’ve booked within this timeframe, the full balance will be due straight away. We’ll provide bank account details for payment by Internet Banking deposit in the email, and we also provide a secure link so you can opt to pay by credit card. Credit card payments incur a 2.5% surcharge.
Give the gift of glamping! Gift Vouchers are available for Tuki Tuki Valley or any Canopy Camping Escapes glamping site. The campsite is a short drive into the property and has car parking right at the site. You're welcome go to and from the property as much as you like to explore the local area.
Tuki Tuki Valley is one of our dog friendly campsites. Dogs must be vaccinated, well behaved and kept on a lead at all times due to the surrounding farm animals.

TENT SLEEPING & BED ARRANGEMENT
The luxury tent at Tuki Tuki Valley sleeps up to four people, with a queen-sized four poster bed, with a bunk 'room' for kids. Note that the bunk beds are smaller than standard size in length so are best suited for children.
The campsite at Tuki Tuki Valley has mains power, so no need to go without your modern-day luxuries!
- The campsite has a fully enclosed bathroom with a flushing toilet, sink, a shower and hot water.
- The tent is equipped with electric heating in the tents.
- The camp kitchen is also partially enclosed with a covered outdoor eating and barbeque area. There is a gas BBQ, and a electric hob available for cooking and hot water for dishes.
- A fridge is provided in the camp kitchen for cool food storage.
- A fire-pit area with comfortable outdoor seating is just off the camp kitchen area.
- Mobile phone reception is available and an outlet is provided in the camp kitchen for mobile phone charging.
The campsite at Tuki Tuki Valley has a campfire area which is a great place to relax with a glass of wine and a bag of marshmallows at the end of the day. It is dependent on the time of year and conditions though, and at certain times of the year will be unavailable due to higher than normal fire risk.
100% cotton linen, towels and bedding is supplied. Cosy feather duvets are supplied in winter.
WHAT TO BRING
- Food and drink - make sure you bring all the food and drink you need for your stay
- Warm clothes - it can be very chilly in the mornings and at night. A warm jersey and long pants are a must.
- Shower and bath toiletries
- Insect repellent and Sunscreen - A must have!
- Towels for swimming - bring some spare beach towels for taking off the property to swim.
It’s very important to follow the safety guidelines and terms that you’ll find in our booking terms and in your Tent Information Pack. These terms and guidelines include:
- Visitors to the property stay at their own risk. This is a working vineyard and has machinery and tools that may cause injury
- Leave gates as you find them
- Animals are unpredicatable - best to avoid them
- Supervise young children carefully. There is an unfenced dam and other specific water hazards for young children on the property such as troughs
- For your own safety please do not touch any farm machinery, and do not enter any other buildings on the property.

Eating and Drinking
Tuki Tuki Valley is self-catering. Just bring your own food and cook meals using the BBQ and facilities provided in your private camp kitchen. You'll find all the cutlery, crockery, pots and pans that you'll need.
The nearest shop selling food and alcohol is the Four Square on Te Mata Road - a 12 minute drive from the campsite. There is an abundance of farm gate fresh fruit and vegetables around the region, and you'll find a New World Supermarket in Havelock North, 15 minutes drive away. Craggy Range Winery and Te Mata Estate Winery (for wine!) are both within a 10 minute drive.
If you feel like a break from cooking - head into Havelock North where there are plenty of fantastic cafes and restaurants.

1. Booking and payments
1.1 A deposit of 10% is required to confirm your booking and secure the property. This will be charged to your credit card at the time of booking. A 2.75% credit card payment surcharge will be applied to this payment.
1.2 On receipt of the deposit, you will receive an email confirming both the payment and your booking details.
1.3 The remaining balance will be due 4 weeks in advance of your arrival date. An email reminder will be sent to you 3 days prior to this date, where an outstanding balance remains. The reminder email gives you the option to pay the remaining balance by internet banking or, if your internet banking payment has not been received within 48 hours, the remaining balance will automatically be charged to the credit card used at the time of booking. Please note: a 2.5% credit card payment surcharge is applied to all payments made by credit card. Credit card data is held in a secure and encrypted environment.
1.4 Bookings made within 4 weeks in advance of your arrival date will be charged the full balance at the time of booking (this may be processed in two payments).
1.5 If you are unable to pay the balance before the stated due date, you will forfeit your deposit and your booking will be cancelled.
1.6 Bookings made online within 48 hours of arrival will not be confirmed immediately. Once the campsite has agreed that the booking can be honoured, the guest will be informed by Canopy Camping Escapes and the credit card used for the online booking will be charged the full balance of the stay (note that there is a 2.5% credit card fee).
2. Cancellation and severe weather warnings
2.1 Some campsites may have limitations due to weather. If severe weather is forecast we will call you as soon as possible prior to your scheduled arrival date to advise you and cancel your booking. You can choose whether to defer your holiday to a later date subject to availability or receive a full refund.
2.2 Your 10% deposit is non-refundable, however it can be transferred to another booking made within a 12 month period, if your stay is cancelled more than 3 weeks prior to your arrival.
2.3 Cancellation by you within 4-21 days of your arrival date will result in 50% of the total cost of your stay being charged. Cancellation within 3 days of your arrival date will result in 100% of the total cost of your stay being charged.
3. Safety and Hazards
3.1 Campsites are often situated on working farms and there are hazards both natural and man-made. You accept that you enter the property at your own risk to participate in a glamping holiday.
3.2 Participation in activities such as, outdoor baths, climbing trees, walking on the property and any other activity on the property is the responsibility of the Guest and is done so at their own risk.
3.3 Canopy Camping Escapes accept no liability for accident, loss of property or personal injury whilst on your stay.
No pets allowed. Campsites are often situated on working farms, and therefore are not suitable for visiting pets.
GST of 15% (where applicable) is included in the daily per night cost. A GST invoice will be supplied if requested.
6. The Holiday – Guest Conditions of occupancy and Conduct
6.1 The Guests have the right to occupy the Property for the paid holiday period only.
6.2 Guests are required to observe the rules and familiarise themselves with the procedures contained in the information folder provided in the tent.
6.3 Guests shall take all reasonable and proper care of the property and its furniture, fittings and effects in or on the property and leave them in the same state of repair, condition, cleanliness and tidiness as at the commencement of the rental period.
6.4 Guests are required to inform the owner of any damage or breakage in or around the property promptly so that it can be repaired and replaced for the next guests. Guests are bound to reimburse the owners for replacement, repair or extra cleaning costs where reasonably demanded by the owners for damage caused by the guests.
6.5 Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property.
6.6 Guests undertake to behave in a proper, appropriate and legal manner with due respect to the Owner, the Property and other guests and their property. If any guest behaves inappropriately or improperly (of which the Owner will be the final judge on their Property), or illegally, the Owner reserves the right to ask the guest and their party (at their discretion) to leave the Property before the end of the holiday period. Any refund for so doing will be at the entire discretion of the Owner in consulation with Canopy Camping Escapes.
7. Authority to Sign
The person who completes the Booking Form certifies that: he or she is authorised to agree the Booking Conditions on behalf of all persons included in the Booking Form, including those substituted or added at a later date; the signatory is over eighteen years of age; they agree to take responsibility for the party occupying the Property, and to notify Canopy Camping Escapes if they are not a member of the holiday party.
