The converted woolshed is rustic, stylish, and perfect for families or friends who want a country-themed escape with all the bells and whistles.

The woolshed has three bedrooms each with a king-sized bed. There is one ensuite, a main bathroom, an outdoor shower, and a total of four toilets. • Your hosts

Your hosts at The Shearer’s Shed are Emma and her father, Henry.

Henry is a retired farmer and self-taught handyman and builder. Having lived on the property for five years, he originally renovated the woolshed as a temporary home for the kids - who came home during covid lockdowns and holidays.

With the unique and historic vibe of the woolshed, Emma, Henry's interior designer daughter had the idea of sharing the space as guest accommodation so it could be enjoyed by others. They look forward to welcoming you to this beautiful part of the country!

After being away from my home in Wellington for over a year, we gathered as friends and reconnected about our lives over this time, and more. We skygazed and stargazed, soaked in the tub and soaked up the atmosphere.

The whanau had a great Matariki weekend stay in this lovely converted shearer's shed. The shed is large and kept warm by the biggest heat pump I have ever seen. We loved the island bench - great for communal cooking and playing lots of games. The outdoor baths under the Milky Way were incredibly special. The added bonus was being able to bring our dogs - I was a little worried about the sheep being so close, but the section is well-fenced, and the city dogs preferred the pond! Thank you.
