The Dreamer's Night Inn

Pahi, Northland

The Dreamer's Night Inn is located in Northland, just 1.5 hours from Auckland City.

Perched on the very tip of a private peninsula above the tranquil waters of Kaipara Harbour, The Dreamer's Night Inn is a unique getaway for two couples or families.

The lovingly restored 1800s settler's cottage has been hand-curated in Coastal Heirloom style - layering relaxed coastal elegance with the imperfect beauty of Wabi Sabi. Timber-lined rooms, sloped ceilings, and timeworn textures honour the original bones, while contemporary and vintage furnishings bring warmth and soul.

A wraparound veranda leads into cosy, light-filled living spaces and one bedroom. While upstairs is another bedroom and a painter's loft overlooking the harbour - perfect for slow mornings with coffee or sketching the ever-shifting seascape.

Nestled beneath fifty-year-old Mediterranean olive trees, a handcrafted cedar hot tub kept at a consistent 38°C offers the perfect spot for stargazing or watching the tides roll in. A private pathway winds down to the water's edge, where low tide reveals perfect stretches for sunset strolls with your four-legged companions, while higher tides create ideal conditions for fishing.

The true joy lies in simply being present...feeling the salt breeze and letting this harbour hideaway work its quiet magic.
