Eating and Drinking
The campsite at Rabbit Island is self-catering. Just bring your own food, and cook meals using the BBQ and facilities provided in your private camp kitchen or the larger shared kitchen. You'll find all the cutlery, crockery, pots and pans that you'll need, as well as pantry basics such as salt and pepper, and cooking oil. More detail on the kitchen facilities can be found under 'Essentials'.
Appleby House and Rabbit Island Huts also offer breakfast provisions, with complimentary specialty breads, homemade condiments and Rabbit Island coffee, all found in the shared kitchen area. There is a also an onsite honesty shop where you can buy breakfast and dining goodies to ensure you don't need to leave the property if you don't want to!
If you do fancy an outing, Nelson City is just a 25 minute drive away, and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from there. Richmond and Mapua are an 8 minute drive away, and both also have some wonderful cafes and restaurants. Richmond has two supermarkets where you can stock up on supplies.
Exceeded Expectations. Great Facilities and a very relaxing environment - how's the Serenity!

Jane and John have created such a special and relaxing environment for everyone to enjoy. From the little touches like the trust box to the amazing glamping set up, they have really out done themselves. We absolutely loved every part of our whole experience glamping...Thank you so much Jane and John!

This was my first glamping experience and I absolutely loved it. Situated on a lovely farm, but a close enough drive/bike to the beach. The hosts have gone above and beyond with making this a relaxing experience. I'll definitely be back again soon.
