Cascadia

Cascadia

Masterton, Wairarapa

Cascadia is set on a beautiful riverside peninsula just 15 minutes from Masterton in the Wairarapa.

Cascadia is the perfect blend of a back-to-basics nature retreat and a luxurious stay.

Built from New Zealand-grown timbers, the cosy cottage has a comfortable super king loft bed, kitchen-living area and bathroom. There's a wood burner to keep you snug and double french doors with a pretty outlook to a gorgeous glade.

Waingawa River is within a stones throw. Take a stroll to the spring fed four-metre waterfall and swimming hole, where you can swim, read, sunbathe and relax. Or wander through the native bush for a rejuvenating walk in the cool forest air. In the evening, take a soak in the wood-fired outdoor bath and watch as the river flows past.

Doze to the sounds of the river and bird singsong. After dark, snuggle up on your private porch and stargaze at the expansive Wairarapa sky.

We are so glad we picked The Glade to stay at. It looks gorgeous in the photos, and they don’t do justice to how stunning the scenery is; we were amazed! Rosie was very helpful and welcoming. 10/10 would recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Glade! Rose and Dan were so kind, responsive, and helpful; they wanted to make sure we made the most of our time there. The location was sublime, close to amazing hikes that we could access without a car, and swimming spots we could have a dip in! But the best part was relaxing in the cottage (or the White Noise Nook) with a book, absolute heaven! We can't recommend The Glade enough; we hope to be back one day!
