Akaroa is only 20 minutes away, so if you want to get out and about, exploring the pretty tourist town is easy to do. Or, if you want to relax, sit in the beautiful gardens on the property, listen to the birds and admire the views. End the day by watching the stars twinkle and come to life with a glass of wine in hand.

  • Your Hosts

Simon, Carolyn and their pet cat Kumara are your hosts at French Peak Wagon.

Simon and Carolyn purchased French Peak in 2021 while living in Singapore. They finally made the move to New Zealand in May 2022, once borders were opened.

The couple love Banks Peninsula - and wine! They had been looking for a joint project. French Peak, with its wagon and barn accommodation, as well as its vineyard and cellar door fitted the bill perfectly.

The greenery, sea and hill views, birds, vineyards and super-friendly people are just some of the things they enjoy about living in this beautiful part of the world. They're looking forward to welcoming guests to enjoy it with them!
