Green Rabbit is set in the Far North, approximately 4 hours from Auckland and just 5 minutes from nearby Mangōnui Village.
Set on the same property as the popular River Bothy, The Green Rabbit is a tiny (10sqm) pitched-roof cabin with buckets of personality. Thoughtfully designed to make the most of its compact footprint, this cosy little hideaway is perfect for guests seeking a simple, intimate stay immersed in nature.
Inside the cabin, an elevated bed nook with a large window makes you feel as if you're sleeping amongst nature. Lie in bed and stargaze at the starry night sky, or wake early to watch the sunrise gently spill over the hills.
The compact interior includes a small kitchenette and perhaps the cutest little wood burner you've ever seen for cosy winter stays. Curl up with a book or explore the collection of vinyl records on the record player.
Take in the peaceful daytime vistas and incredible nighttime skies from the outdoor deck. Nearby, an outdoor bath is tucked away in its own private cocoon. Light a few candles and soak in the views as you bathe in nature.
If you want to get out and about, the scenic Northland area offers plenty to explore, including coastal walks, scenic lookouts, and beautiful white-sand beaches.
