If you fancy a meal out, check out the pub just 5 minutes down the road called Tikokino Hotel. A great family-friendly spot with a seasonal beer range and wood fired pizzas in the hop garden is GodsOwn Brewery (12 minutes drive). For the adults, enjoy a glass or two at Ash Ridge Winery (23 minutes drive). Near Ash Ridge Winery is also Abbey Winery and Brewery – a boutique 'single estate' producer owned by the Haworth family (please check open times on their website).

The nearest store for stocking up on food and supplies is Four square, 20 minutes away in Waipawa.

While adults relax in the twin outdoor baths, children can bounce on the trampoline or engage in friendly competition over board games and cards.

Venture the farm walks throughout the valley, with a handy map provided to guide your journey. It's a lovely way to get a breath of fresh air.

Explore the broader Hawke's Bay region with its local concerts, winery tours, and breathtaking panoramic views from Te Mata Peak.

  • your hosts

Your hosts at Joe's at Glentui are Richie, Andrea, and their children Ollie and Layla (and the dog Evie!)

This special place has been in Richie's family for generations, named after his father, Joe, who passed away when Richie was 13. The couple returned to the farm 14 years ago, transforming the old homestead site into a glamping retreat.

Their love for the native bush, stream, and tranquil setting inspired them to share their little paradise with guests, creating a unique getaway that honours the family history and showcases the natural beauty of their land.
