The Oaks Safari Tent

The Oaks Safari Tent

Auckland

The Oaks Safari Tent is only 40 minutes south of Auckland City.

Surrounded by mature oak trees, this tranquil retreat overlooks rolling pastures where cattle and sheep graze peacefully.

The spacious canvas tent comfortably accommodates six guests. It has three bedrooms with a king-size bed, two twin single beds and a cosy king-size bed tucked away in the alcove-style space. Gather in the main area, complete with comfortable seating, a kitchen, and a seamless flow between indoors and outdoors. The expansive outdoor deck is the perfect spot to soak in the picturesque views.

A few steps away is an outdoor bath where you can soak and watch the farm animals meander by. A covered outdoor shower adds to the alfresco magic. At the end of the day, gather around the campfire with its rustic tree-stump seating to unwind with a glass in hand.

Awaken each morning to the symphony of farm life, with the sounds of cattle, sheep, and birdsong from pheasants, peacocks, ducks, turkeys, and even the occasional native falcon soaring overhead. Tucked away in the heart of the farm, far from the hustle and bustle of roads and houses, The Oaks Safari Tent offers the perfect escape to reconnect with nature and loved ones.

  • your hosts

Your hosts at The Oaks Safari Tent are friends, Charlotte and Chloe.

Twelve years ago, Rick and Charlotte Anderson acquired the rundown farm and began restoring it, with Rick leading the initial restoration work.

Originally living across the valley, Charlotte was drawn to the property's natural beauty, including its waterways, varied terrain, and abundant trees. What started as a family retreat has since evolved into a stunning glamping destination.

Charlotte now continues the farming work and friend Chloe helps with accommodation arrangements, ensuring a warm welcome to all visitors at The Oaks Safari Tent.
