Steventon Cabin

Canterbury

Steventon Cabin is just one hour's drive from Christchurch in the Canterbury region.

Nestled on a historic 1,400-hectare sheep and beef farm established in 1855, this beautiful cabin seamlessly blends earthy comfort with lovely interior touches.

The living space exudes a cosy and inviting ambience with soft, natural lighting. A wood burner in the corner enhances the warm and homely feel, while armchairs and a comfy couch offer picturesque views of the outdoors.

The cabin is a year-round retreat, each season bringing its own unique charm. Autumn features vibrant foliage, spring is adorned with daffodils and lambs, winter transforms the landscape into a snowy wonderland, and summer offers a sun-soaked deck.

Spend your days watching farm activities, including sheep and tractors, right from your doorstep, or unwind in the twin vintage French farm outdoor baths amongst the native trees.

  • your hosts

Your hosts at Steventon Cabin are Laura and Mark.

For over a decade, Laura and Mark have called this stunning farm their home, drawn by its breathtaking scenery, expansive space, and the rich diversity of protected native flora and fauna. Living here feels like a peaceful retreat from the world, yet it's conveniently located. Their two young children, Oscar and Ada, are fortunate to grow up in such a lovely and serene environment.

Mark, his father Ken, and his brother Logan work the farm together, with all three families living on the property. Laura is a Mother and nurse, and Mark is a farmer. They both decided to venture into glamping to share their love for this special place with others. With Laura's background in remote eco-tourism, they understand just how magical these experiences can be for their guests, and they are excited to offer you a slice of their peaceful paradise.
